ALESSANDRA MAROTTI, PsyD - Director of Child Services and Psychological Testing
Dr. Alessandra Marotti received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” and her Master's in Psychotherapy from the world renowned European Institute of Systematic Training and Counseling, entitling her to practice Clinical Psychology in Italy. In addition, she received her Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology from Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky. A Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Marotti first practiced at the University of Miami's Miller School of Medicine, becoming certified in the evidence-based Multidimensional Family Therapy (MDFT) model. She also received valuable experience in her supervisory and clinical trainer roles at the prestigious Advanced Behavioral Health Corporation in Middletown, Connecticut. She is still active as a national trainer and consultant for MDFT International, continuing to train and consult with agencies and professional across the country and in Europe, including Yale University and the Center for Adolescent Treatment in Milan, Italy.
Dr. Marotti oversees all neuropsychological testing services performed at the Neuropsychiatric Institute. She has a particular counseling interest in children, adolescent, and family issues, as well as emotional and behavioral problems in young adults and adults, and neuropsychological testing. Her approach is strongly systemic and relational with elements of CBT and mindfulness.
Dr. Marotti is a certified Florida Forensic Examiner and has been in practice since 2000. She became a Florida Licensed Clinical Psychologist in 2007. Dr. Marotti is bilingual in English and Italian.
