Dr. Dorit Breiter received both her Bachelor’s degree and Master’s in Nursing at the University of South Florida. She went on to earn her Doctoral Degree in Nursing Practice at the University of South Florida in 2007. An Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner specializing in Psychiatry, Dr. Breiter began her nursing career in cardiac intensive care for several years where she gained strong foundational experience in general medical nursing practices. She taught six years at the University of South Florida College of Nursing, both at Undergraduate and Graduate levels. She currently teaches courses in the Graduate Program for Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners at Drexel University College of Nursing and Health Professions in Philadelphia. Her areas of interest include primary evaluation and therapy with adults and children, postpartum depression, marital maladjustment, and family and group therapy for major mental illnesses.
Dr. Breiter holds a National Board Certification from the American Nurse Credentialing Center as an Adult Psychiatric and Mental Health Practitioner. She has been practicing as a Licensed Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner since 1992. She speaks several languages.
