Telehealth Psychiatry and Telehealth Therapy

Neuropsychiatric Institute has been offering telehealth counseling since 2018.  Currently, all NPI providers are available for telehealth appointments, for psychiatry as well as counseling. You must be a resident of the State of Florida to receive telehealth services from a provider in our office.

Guidelines for Patients:

•Sign in at least 5 minutes before the scheduled appointment time.  Save the link to your provider's room for future appointments, by Bookmarking the site or adding to your Favorites in your web browser (Safari/Chrome).  If you don't have the direct link, you can click the button on the bottom of this page for our Clinic's home/landing page, and select your provider from the drop-down list.
Treat your telehealth visit as you would a routine, in office medical appointment.
Be located in an area that is safe and provides privacy/confidentiality.  The room should be well-lit, quiet, and free from distractions or background noise.
Please do not conduct other activities while in session, such as driving a vehicle, shopping and/or receiving other services.
Dress appropriately during telehealth sessions, as you would if you were attending a session at the provider’s office.
Minors under the age of 18 years old receiving telehealth Psychiatric Medication Management services, must have a parent/guardian present on site with the patient.
Minors’ engaging in telehealth Counseling services, should have a parent or guardian with them at the location where the service is received.  The provider may require a parent/guardian be on-site if needed.
Please do not have anyone else in the room unless it has first been discussed and agreed upon with your provider.
Do not record sessions. Florida Law stipulates that you may not record conversations without the consent of all involved parties.
•*Immediately following your telehealth visit, call NPI at 813-636-8811 to schedule your next visit as directed by your provider.
