Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Ana Rubio received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at the University of South Florida and her Master's in Professional Counseling at Southeastern University Lakeland. She originally started professional life as a medical specialist working in the medical field. Subsequently, she became a mental health intake person at Gracepoint, a Community Mental Health Center located in Tampa. At Gracepoint she treated and provided extensive crisis intervention, diagnosed their illnesses and worked extensively with neuropsychiatrists. She has worked extensively with children with psychological and neurological disorders, as well as ADHD, Tourette syndrome, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and sensorimotor disability. She has worked with mental health treatment teams; she has extensive and superior communication skills. She moved on to the Children's Home and ran Life Focus Groups
Ms. Rubio is a Registered Mental Health Counselor and has been working in the mental health field since 2013. She is a member of the American Counseling Association and the Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society. She is bilingual in Spanish and English.
