Ms. Barreto's theoretical approach is to utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which focuses on developing one’s self-actualization by recognizing and then making life choices to live within personally established value systems. By developing a sense of trust and non-judgment, she helps individuals to examine and explore facets of life and development that can be confusing and/or difficult to understand alone. Ms. Barreto believes in a mutually respectful relationship in which the individual is fully capable and encourages the development of self-acceptance, esteem, and awareness as the key to living one’s full potential.
Ms. Barreto is licensed as a Mental Health Counselor. She has been in the mental health field since 2008.
