Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Jessica Lopez received her Bachelor's degree from Florida State University, her Master's in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of South Florida, and has completed her doctoral coursework in Marital, Couples, and Family Counseling from Barry University. She is currently working towards completing her dissertation as a doctoral candidate in the field of counseling education. A Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Ms. Lopez has worked at various in-patient facilities including St. Joseph's Hospital Psychiatric Care Center. She has been very effective teaching Master’s level courses at Barry University as well as developing school counseling curriculum at the Esteem Academy.
Ms. Lopez is an Integrative Psychotherapist, which means that she utilizes a variety of orientations and therapies, according to the individual’s needs. She specializes in working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Her areas of counseling interests include anxiety, panic attacks, anger management, couples therapy, family therapy, depression, identity issues, work related issues, disability related issues, fears, phobias, PTSD, obsessive/compulsive disorder, and pain management.
Ms. Lopez has been practicing as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor since 2013 and is bilingual in English and Spanish.
