Psychiatric Nurse Practicitioner
Sarah Reid received her Bachelor's degree, Master’s in Nursing and Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. An Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner specializing in Family and Pediatric Psychiatry, Ms. Reid has training in psychiatric residential, outpatient, emergency and primary care settings. She also trained in managing the psychiatric component of chronic pain at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic. She also served as Charge Nurse of the Child-Adolescent Psychiatric Unit of the Laurelwood Psychiatric Hospital of Cleveland. Ms. Reid has practiced in the Tampa Bay area in psychiatric crisis stabilization units helping adults and children in psychiatric crisis, many with co-morbid substance abuse problems, detoxification needs and complex family dynamics. Her areas of interest concern children, adolescents, families, and chronic pain.
Ms. Reid holds a National Board Certification from the American Nurse Credentialing Center as a Family Psychiatric and Mental Health Practitioner and is Board Certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner through PNPCB. She has Memberships in the American Nurses Association, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau International. She received BayCare's "Rising Star Award" for dedication to her patients and their psychosocial progress. She has been practicing as a Licensed Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner since 2002.
