Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Susan (Susie) Roux received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at St. Olaf College in Minnesota, Masters of Mental Health Counseling from Webster University in Geneva, Switzerland and Masters of Science Nursing at the University of South Florida.
An Advanced Practice Registered Nurse specializing in Psychiatry, Ms. Roux began her career in pediatric nursing, primarily as a school nurse. After completing her masters level degrees she has devoted her career as a Nurse Practitioner in various settings, including a community mental health clinic, inpatient pediatric psychiatry unit, providing psychiatric consultation liaison services on the medical units of a local hospital and currently here at NPI. Her work with various medical specialty groups helped her knowledge base in regard to co-occurring medical and mental health conditions.
Areas of interest include ADHD, mood disorders and PTSD across the life span, with an emphasis on pediatric and young adult populations.
Ms. Roux holds a National Board Certification from the American Nurse Credentialing Center as a Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and has been practicing as a Licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse since 2007.
