Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern
Viviana Garcia received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of South Florida and her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Troy University. Prior to completing her Master’s degree, Ms. Garcia worked as a Care Manager at Gracepoint working with adults providing biopsychosocial assessments, creating treatment plans and assisting individuals with medication management. Ms. Garcia has experience working with children, teens and adults with a wide variety of mental health disorders. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) and utilizes EMDR as a form of processing through trauma. Ms. Garcia’s theoretical approach is to utilize Cognitive Behavioral therapy in order to assist individuals with reframing their unhelpful thoughts and improving their overall mood.
Ms. Garcia is a Registered Mental Health Counselor and is currently in pursuit of her LMHC. She has been working in the mental health field since 2020 and is a member of the American Mental Health Counselors Association. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.
