Licensed Mental Health Counselor
William Fitzgerald received his Bachelor’s Degree of Science and Interdisciplinary Studies focusing on Psychology and Business Management at Keiser University and Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at National Louis University. After graduating with his M.S. degree, Mr. Fitzgerald worked as a counselor with children and adult populations within the Family Works and Child Outpatient department at Directions For Living. He pioneered and developed the T.R.A.C.E. pilot program which aids Law Enforcement officials during 911 calls. Mr. Fitzgerald is experienced in conducting psychological evaluations, assessments, treatment planning, individual, family, and couples therapy. He specializes in working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. His areas of counseling interests include Substance Abuse, Trauma, LGBTQ+, Personality Disorders, Crisis Patients, and Couples and Family counseling. A U.S. armed forces veteran, Mr. Fitzgerald has considerable experience working with military families and veterans.
Mr. Fitzgerald uses integrative therapeutic approaches that include Humanistic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to improve overall wellbeing.
Mr. Fitzgerald is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. He has been working in the mental health field since 2020.
